Once the operation is verified, check the functioning of the inverter with direct grid connection. The grid-connected inverter is an essential interface between the distributed power generation system and the utility grid [ 3 ]. For a power electronic system, reliability is a key performance indicator because faults occurring to the system components may lead to the shutdown of the system [ 4 ].
